Meet Jayne Pickering The Most Stylish Stylist in Notting Hill.

Meet Jayne Pickering The Most Stylish Stylist in Notting Hill.

“Styling, isn't something you can be taught, it is simply something you have.”

Jayne’s love of fashion started from an early age spending hours pouring over Biba Catalogues.  Her love of clothes eventually became a career, starting in Fashion PR before heading to British Vogue, where she worked under the legendary Anna Harvey.  Finally, moving onto Marie Claire, where she was the fashion director for 15 years, shaping the magazine’s distinctive style.

Jayne Pickering's Edit at Pippa Small, Westbourne Grove.

We had the opportunity to talk to Jayne and discover the pieces she loves, the stories behind them and the inspiration that fuels her iconic aesthetic.  Jayne’s Edit is showcased at Pippa Small Jewellery on Westbourne Grove – a tall pink townhouse tucked away in the heart of vibrant Notting Hill. Here, she curates a personal selection of her favourite discoveries – ranging from timeless wardrobe essentials to exquisitely crafted pieces. With a strong focus on sourcing from small independent brands such as Eldon Cashmere, La Fetiche and Péro, Jayne highlights the importance of sustainability. “Supporting smaller brands is vital if we are to help curb mass production” she explains.

In a world where over 100 billion garments are produced each year – many destined for landfill within months – the fashion industry’s shift from quality to quantity has come at a significant environmental cost. Fast fashion continues to fuel excessive consumption, deplete resources, and generate an estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste annually. Jayne’s Edit serves as a gentle reminder to slow down and shop with intention. It encourages us to become more mindful consumers – to choose well, buy less, and invest in pieces that are beautifully made and built to last.

Jayne styled her Navy & White Striped Scarf with the Blue Jeans Union Jack Jumper and Pippa Small Opal Rings.

When we asked why Jayne loves and supports Eldon she says  “My favourite Eldon Cashmere product is the stripey scarf! You just can’t go wrong with it. Ann was the first person to do the stripey scarf and now it is widely copied by other brands.”
